Camping Cricketing Combo Catches Covid, chaotic collapse continues

Cricket South Africa has confirmed that there were two confirmed Coronavirus cases in the squad which went on camp this week. The camp, which was designed to foster a culture of unity as well as mapping a way forward for the national team is being held at the Kruger National Park.

CSA had tested 50 players and official prior to the camp, which started on Tuesday. and have confirmed that there were two cases amongst the camping party. CSA declined to name the pair.

"There were no replacements made for the two players who tested positive. All those unable to attend the camp will join the proceedings virtually,” CSA said in a statement on Thursday.

This news comes hot on the heels of a rather forgettable last 18 months for CSA which has seen its board for all intents and purposes dissolved before our eyes, seen them lose eight of their last nine Tests, and an even more calamitous past four weeks, which has seen the a racial scandal rock South African cricket.
